Articulate Terms of Service

Effective Date: April 4, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Articulate mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”) provided by Articulate – AI Voice Coach (“Articulate,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By downloading, accessing, or using Articulate, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required by law in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of another person or organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on their behalf.

3. No Professional Advice

Articulate provides automated practice guidance for communication improvement. The Service is for educational, informational, and self-improvement purposes only.

Articulate does not provide medical, mental health, legal, employment, academic admissions, or other professional advice. Any transcript, score, recommendation, or coaching output may be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate for your situation. You are responsible for how you interpret and use the output.

4. User Content

You may provide recordings, prompt responses, and other content through the Service (“User Content”).

You retain ownership of your User Content. However, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, process, transmit, reproduce, and use your User Content solely as necessary to operate, secure, improve, and provide the Service, including generating transcripts, feedback, scores, and drills.

To provide AI-powered features, the Service may transmit your selected recordings, prompt text, custom prompt directions, transcripts, and related session context through app-operated processing services and third-party AI processors.

You authorize us to process this content solely for the purpose of generating speaking prompts, transcripts, scores, feedback, drills, and related coaching output.

Temporary processing copies are intended to be deleted after a request completes, but short-term retention may occur if a request fails or is interrupted.

Saved recording files remain in the app’s local storage on your device and are not part of CloudKit sync.

7. Subscriptions and Billing

Some features require a paid subscription.

Subscriptions are offered through Apple as auto-renewable subscriptions. Billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are handled by Apple under your App Store account and Apple’s applicable terms.

By purchasing a subscription:

Pricing may vary by storefront, region, taxes, promotions, and Apple pricing rules.

We do not control Apple’s billing systems and are not responsible for Apple’s subscription processing, refunds, or billing errors.

8. Trials, Offers, and Promotions

We may offer free trials, introductory pricing, or promotional offers where available. Eligibility, duration, renewal terms, and limitations may vary and may be determined by Apple or our subscription provider.

If you do not cancel before a trial or promotional period ends, your subscription may renew at the applicable price shown by Apple.

9. Data Storage and Sync

Recordings may be stored locally on your device. Session metadata such as transcripts, scores, prompts, coaching notes, and session history may sync through your private iCloud/CloudKit account if available.

When you start an analysis, selected recordings and prompt context may be transmitted through app-operated services and third-party processors so the Service can generate results.

10. Availability and Performance

We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, accurate, or error-free.

Features may vary by device, region, operating system, network conditions, third-party availability, App Store rules, and service provider availability. We are not responsible for delays, outages, or failures caused by Apple, cloud providers, AI providers, or other third parties.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting the app and canceling any subscription through Apple.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if:

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND RELIABILITY.

We do not guarantee that:

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Articulate – AI Voice Coach, its affiliates, licensors, service providers, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business opportunities arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
